about
When social anxiety has a way with words, it appears to know how to console you and control you all at once.
I wanted to use this release to raise awareness to the importance of mental health care, and charities that work continuously to help those who are struggling.
80% of revenue made from streams, as well as Bandcamp download purchases, will go to Mind, YoungMinds, We Are Hummingbird & the Mental Health Foundation, with 20% going to each.
Some people, I included, struggle to seek help, talking about our own worries and troubles, aware that others out there are also struggling too, even before the pandemic. These charities do the hard work they do, not just because it's their job to care, it is their passion to care.
never a word said wrong
you hardly convey emotion
baby, where have you gone?
'cause we can still get along
it's all mind over matter
we're all climbing ladders
to get to the top
spit 'em out
those tidal waves tied to your head
baby, you need a drought
breathe 'em in
your pipelines are dry
you're soaked up in sighs
no room to swim
and you're all about this
conversation conservation
conservating your conversations
now
you can't afford to talk
repeating conversations
without the breathe to draw
just some food for thought
it shouldn't be shared for those who don't care
or who've heard it before
'cause who needs saving now
it's you who needs saving now
but you're all about this
conversation conservation
conservating your conversations
when silence is free
and there's no need
no, no need to be
lonely
